I am the ruler

If out of nowhere I became the ruler of the world, what I would do to benefit the cause of the border is to create MEGA agreements between the US and Mexico. We would join forces, one whole army and together decide how to handle criminals and such. There would be one day where we all stand along the border, both countries separated and with the blink of an eye a HUGE firework like explosion would collapse the border. People would cheer as both sides came together. By this point of course, proper planning would have been made to make sure no laws are broken and proper order is kept. Our government would serve as a good role model to Mexico's. This would only be the beginning, next is the world.

A plan of book response

What I plan to do for my book response is a story. The reason I am doing a story is because the thing I am responding to is a story itself. One of the reasons of the response is to show how we relate. Both our stories relate in extremely similar ways. Through reading the book I remember going back to moments in my life where I felt the same thing Fransisco did. So a story to compare to breaking through is what I will do.

You are NOT alone!

NO NO NO you are not alone. My mission, let the 6 billion people in the world know this. Among those are people who speak a diffrent languages, there are ones with extremely negative hope and the ones that make sure the message does not get across. I have no absolute means of expressing this in a way that will catch every individuals attention however, I can promise through the internet, through this blogging server to any random person in the world that you are not alone.

I can promise you that myself and the incredible people I have been acquainted with devote their life to helping yours be slightly better. I can assure you that even though it seems you are stuck in a titanium box with no escape, you can escape. The escape is the people outside, the ones with the strength, the masses and compassion to help you out. Scream at the top of your lungs. Scream with all your heart and even though it seems no one is near, they are looking for you. Though we might search the wrong places, the wrong countries, it is you we search for. Just like your sadness, disadvantages and discrimination seem like unimaginable cruelties, there are unimaginable kindness. Please, believe. Even if it is just your single word that says "I believe", that says "thank you", that is enough to power a million hearts. Next time you feel alone, remember these words, you are not alone. We are here, diffrent skins and groups but we are all together. The world does not realize this but maybe you do?

Are we alone?

I can help people who are willing to be helped, I can help people who still have a chance to be helped. I have been arguing lately various debates about illegal immigration. There is always a halt, something you cant get past. I avoid that halt because it means rethinking things over again. Immigrants come under temporary work visas but overstay them. The United States could be damaged by this dis balance but then what about the people. I can imagine the poor family struggling through the survival game we call life. Closing our doors to stay safe would be selfish, how can one live knowing that outside the door are people who suffer, people with hunger. So what is that answer? What can we do to make this world a better place? What is the strategy to come one step closer to that undying hope? Does anyone care? If only everyone with power would kneel down to the ones without it and help. If only there were some type of organization that insured anyone willing an opportunity to live life as it should be lived. If only this world was not as horrid and repugnant as it can sometimes be. If only dreams were reachable, for all of us. What can we do? What WHAT can we do? I am only a 14 year old, not much can be done but in the future......

Stereotypes and their origins

What are stereotypes? I think of them as labels. Because you are this way, this is what you will do, how you will act and how you will look. Its what we think of a whole group of people. "Middle easterns are terrorist" or "White people cant jump" even "Guys that like the color pink are gay".
I think that stereotypes come from when a major amount of people in a certain group conclude the same way. Its not even about a major amount of people, just when it is that particular group that participates in the "Stereotype". Stereotypes become stereotypes for a reason. If the most commonly known terrorist are of the middle eastern ethnicity, it is evident that they will be stereotyped as terrorist.
The counts of people in a group that participate in a stereotype should not be the cause of the classification of other individuals. In my opinion, if you immediately judge a person by a stereotype and conclude with that, you are a very unwise person. The most dirtiest of homeless could the be the kindest of the kind people. As for the most clean and beautiful of humans could the most filthiest and cruel of them all. Though statistics show a high percentage are like so, keep in mind that statistics don't always include everyone.

Myspace (top friends)

Why do we have them? Is it to rank people? To let the world that you value number 1 more than 2. Whenever I click my top 8 and begin to fix people in their places my head spins in critical decisions. The thing is that though some of the people on there might not be as involved with me as others, each and every one of them (including the ones not on the top) are incredible people. Each is extently unique, they dont have the same soul as others, you are all diffrent! Each diffrent trait makes you the incredibly unique person you are. Besides, its just myspace. Lets not worry about whose the topest on someones top friends, or who has more picture comments. I just want to focus on the people, thats what truly interest me, not their place on a list or statistics of comments.
